Fat Veggies takes the love for vegetables to a whole new level. If you weren’t familiar with all the wonderful things you can do with vegetables, you will find out when you are presented with the menu.
The restaurant is exactly as cool as you would expect at first sight. The space is beautiful and gives a cabin kind of vibe. Fire is in focus here, with all the vegetables, fermenting, pickling, and more.
The menu here is nothing like you’ve seen before. It’s playful and innovative, and what I particularly liked is how they take advantage of every part of the vegetable. On our visit, the roasted beets came with crunchy beet leaves (and a tasty home-made labneh), as did the cauliflower (with a side of cauliflower and white chocolate purée), also making use of the leaves. The miso flan was the perfect finish for a great meal full with surprises.
