We believe in a sustainable and food-secure future

Organic food production supports biodiversity, ecological balance, sustainability, natural plant fertilisation, natural pest management, and soil integrity.

In less than a century, so-called ‘conventional’ farming has brought our food system to the brink of collapse with its increasingly unsustainable practices. Industrial agriculture pollutes the environment, reduces biodiversity, threatens public health, contributes to climate change and is no respecter of animal welfare. Rather than supplying inexpensive food, industrial farming comes at a devastating social and environmental cost.

In contrast, organic farming is regenerative, and its benefits are scientifically documented¹. In a 30-year study comparing farming systems the Rodale institute concluded:

“Organic farming is far superior to conventional systems when it comes to building, maintaining and replenishing the health of the soil. For soil health alone, organic agriculture is more sustainable than conventional. When one also considers yields, economic viability, energy usage, and human health, it’s clear that organic farming is sustainable, while current conventional practices are not.”
