Bentley Organic has been created out of a passion for soap making that has been in the Bentley family for five generations.
Combining expertise with innovation, we have succeeded in producing a unique range of Soil Association certified organic products for you, your family and your home. We provide products of genuine organic integrity at an affordable price, without compromise in formulation or function – making organic lifestyle choices more accessible for all.
Bentley Organic was launched in the UK in 2006, starting with a small range of organic soap products. The brand has been received with great success and continues to grow, now producing body care, hair care, baby care and a unique range of household cleaning products.
Our mission is to provide affordable alternatives to premium priced uncertified competitors, making organic lifestyle choices accessible to a wider market. To do so we stand by two key philosophies; firstly that all products are Soil Association certified as a guarantee to our consumers of their organic integrity. And secondly that we are ‘Of the Earth, not costing the Earth’, as an integrated manufacturer and supplier we are able to offer our customers a better value product – we believe organic products should be reasonably, not premium, priced.
Bentley Organic is a subsidiary of Thos. Bentley & Son Ltd that was established in the 1800’s making soap for the textile industry. The organisation diversified their offering by creating soap-based products suitable for other markets and today the largest subsidiary, Stephenson Group Ltd, is one of the world’s leading speciality soap base producers, exporting product throughout the world. The business is still run from the same site in Leeds (West Yorkshire, England) and continues to expand on its experience and develop new skills, now focusing on using green chemistry to create innovative new products that provide safer alternatives for the individual and the environment.
In 2000 – and then again in 2007 – the company was proud to achieve the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the UK’s most prestigious award for business performance.
